We were all born and raised within 10 miles of Bremen Georgia. My wife and I attended Bremen City Schools throughout most of our school years. I'm part of the class of 1987. My wife, Joy, graduated in 1991. We met in High school, dated for several years, then married in 1993. We are proud parents of two sons. Our first born was Dakota, who came into the world in 1998. We didn't want him to grow up as an only child, so we planned our second child. Trent was born in 2002. Both presently attend Haralson county schools.
A lot of things have changed over the past 20 yrs. I no longer have a scruffy ole full beard and for some reason my hair has changed colors - Salt & Pepper. We have lived in Waco, GA for approximately 12 years. No better place if you ask me. We live in an average size, older Ranch home with a few acres of land. No mansions or "keeping up with the Jone's" for us. We choose to spend our time and money having fun and creating memories for the entire family. Our hobbies include Camping, Fishing, Hunting, amateur Photography, and riding Offroad. We try to live the "Good Life" and not the "High life".
I've gone from an auto/truck Mechanic for Frito-Lay Atlanta for many years, to an HVAC maintenance tech for a City School system for the last 10 years, which I plan to stay for the duration. Joy has been in food service for many years and is now the manager of a local Subway.
I've always loved the outdoors, so I introduced Joy to the outdoors as soon as we started dating. Lucky for me, she loves it as much as I do - minus the Hunting. The boys love anything to do with the outdoors. We spend as much time enjoying these hobbies together as the weather and our funds permit. The boys have been riding dirtbikes since their 5th birthdays, just like dear old Dad. Trent is in the process of learning to ride his dirtbike alone and without training wheels. Dakota skipped the training wheels and went directly to 2 wheels at the age of 4 1/2. He is 9 now and has became very interested in Bass Fishing. I fish bass tournaments occassionally and have promised to take Dakota with me as my partner when he turns 10. Trent on the other hand is still very young, impatient, and too full of energy to spend very much time in the boat. It's always hard to decide between a weekend to camp and ride our bikes, or to camp and fish.
Short and sweet, that'll give you an idea of who the Henderson crew is. Please surf around to view the pictures we have taken of several of our outings. I'll be adding more as time permits.
